Please don't listen to Supermario on this, the 7600gt has been proven to be way ahead of the x800gto. The 7600gt has gotten good reviews from every review site, and everybody on these forums that got one was very happen with its performance at its mid-range price.

What are you on about? The XFX 7600 XXX edition got amazing reviews and iv seen the benchmarks which prove its a good card also.

LOL.. I'll check it out Mario.
Almost 100 reviews on newegg and only 60% are 5 star.. I know you have to take those reviews with a grain of salt, but that seems low.
If you feel like it maybe you can back up your suggestion with some benchmarks/reviews etc.

Knight is right, do not listen to mario. The 7600GT is better than the X800 GTO in every way. I have a 7600 gt and i love it. It performs amazingly for the price.

You have a 7600gts, which is better, but still the evga 7600gt is a beast, runs all games high with out a hitch...mind you at 1024x768. Still its a very good mid range card, so dont worry about it for the next 6 months, itll be fine.

Another vote for the 7600gt being much better than an x800GTO...and I'm an ATI guy myself!

I play on:

terrain-high
textures-medium
geometry-high
lighting-medium
effects-high
dynamic shadow-medium
dynamic light- low
AA-2x
texture filtering- high
resolution 1024x768

All this with 50-65 FPS. If i had 2gb RAM i would be able to play all high

The Gts is the same card just with hardware SLI disabled.
