it looks good with 500mhz core clock and 1500mhz memory clock, but its a little cheap which makes me suspicious that its not all its cracked up to be. If anyone has a better card in mind for less than $200 please let me know. thnx

Re: Is this a good card
The 7600gt is a good card, but don't get that one, much too pricey. Here's what you want if you want a 7600gt: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130054
But, since your budget allows up to $200, you really ought to get the 7900gs. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130055

Re: Is this a good card
This is what I have and it's GREAT...that and EVGA's warranty isn't voided if you overclock it, their customer service is top notch.
20 pipelines, fast memory/core that overclocks VERY well for under 200 dollars...here you go.

Re: Is this a good card
this card was recommended above
there are some serious questions regarding this card.. be carefull... it appears that this card is a gs not a gt - gts is a marketing ploy (although it may be a good card)
it is not even listed on manufactuers website and what specs I could find are sketchy... I'm interested in this card as well, but until more info is available I would avoid it..
if I was buying "right now" I would get this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143049
$115 after a $30 rebate... very good reviews on newegg

Re: Is this a good card
I live in Saudi Arabia and can't order from newegg. So the ones you are showing me are most probably not the exact one i will buy. Do the different brand names(eVga, MSI, BFG, etc.) differr alot? over here MSI is the most common brand sold, so if i get an MSI 7900 GS would it be the same as eVGA 7900 GS? Also, whats better the 7900 GS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130055
or the 7600 GT
the 7900 has more pixel pipelines but the 7600 has more core clock and memory clock. What do you think?

Re: Is this a good card
7900GS is far better than 7600GT... You cant compare those two cards clock vs clock. One card has faster memory .

Re: Is this a good card
i'll step upto the plate and offer an ATi card that offers pretty much the same as the one you have listed but cheaperOriginally posted by abcdhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127217

cheap graphics cards shouldnt be a turn off you can find pretty damn good cards cheaper than the top range models that do the same thing, you just have to look around a bit,

My Card; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161160
$20 cheaper or there abouts the only real part its lacking on is a 100mhz slower mem clock, but that doesnt stop it, im really liking this card
(ill wait for someone to flame me for how crap low end ATi cards are, they wont know unless they try :p )

Re: Is this a good card
the companies generally dont matter...the only difference mainly is customer service and maybe cooling but they are really pretty much the same with maybe a diff of 2-3 fps in game

But fact is, some games run better on ati and others on nvidia. I know for a near fact that bf2 runs better on nvidia, but that is my personal findings.

Re: Is this a good card
also, the 7600gt i think isnt as good as the 6800gt (correct me if im wrong) 6800gt has about 4 more pixel pipelines

Re: Is this a good card
I think the 7600gt is better than the 6800gt, but I can't really check right now because I have to go do stuff.
But my vote is for a 7900gs. Overclocks like crazy, and does very decent just stock. As for the different brands, there really isn't that much of a difference between the parts they use, but some have better customer service and warranties than others.
