    New GFX + RAM

Hey guys, I've been playing BF2 for just over 1 year now. About 2 months back I bought my self a new GFX Card. A eVGA 7600GS 256MB.. I was PLANNING to get SLi for the card, Then recently I found out that with 2 of those cards, it would barely be like a 7900 256mb.

So now that I found that out today. I'am working this weekend, to get about $50 bucks more for a EVEN NEWER GFX Card! This time i'am planning on getting a eVGA 7900GS 256MB GFX Card So, since we all play BF2 here and know the game and its engine, Will this card be able to do High , and AA on??? What do u think the Average FPS might be?

    Now onto the RAM
    >Ok now time for the RAM part, I got 512MB Stick in there now, I just never upgraded due to the lack of money, I'am planning on get (2x 512MB)= 1GB "CORSAIr" I was wondering if it would be good? I will get another set LATER ON, AKA X-Mas time. Also, can I just take out my old RAM and just stick the new one's in with no problems? Whats the % that will work?

    PC Specs and Links
    >AMD Athlon 3500+ 2.2Ghz
    >*Currently* eVGA 7600GS 256mB
    >*Currently* some crap 512MB RAM
    >Gigabyte K8N SLi-Pro Mobo.

    (2 Gigabytes Are Your Friend)

Personally, I'd keep the 7600GS for now and spend the cash on another 1GB right away. "Amazing" is the best word I can think of to describe the improvements BF2 offers to users with 2GB.

Well... to be honest you should pick up more ram first, this game is a hog. i have an EVGA 7900gt 512 and i run the game maxed at 100 FPS, which, correct me if i'm wrong is what the game is limited to. My previous card, a radeon 9800pro 128 could with a gig of ram could run the game at almost all high settings at about 80 fps. Take from this what you will, but i feel that ram should be your first upgrade. Oh, and the 7900gt is a sweet card. the end.
      Current system:
      x2 4400
      A8N-SLI32
      2 GB Corsair XMS 3500ll
      EVGA 7900gt 512mb
      Enermax Liberty 620w

I have yet to find a game that taxes my system in any way.

I forgot to add that I got the money for both THIS WEEKEND. I can order this weekend, both the RAM and GFX Card. But would this go well with BF2?

You could save some money and use evga's step-up program if you got the card only 2 months ago.

Yes, the 7900gs should get just over 60 fps with everything on high, at 1280x1024 with x4 AA and x8 AF. What card are you upgrading from?

So, were you planning on using the step-up program? Could save you quite a bit of money, however much your 7600gs costed. http://evga.com/stepup/default.asp
