ok its been about a week, but i cant really deal with it anymore... for the first 3 to 4 weeks i had my computer, it worked beautifully and it was a dream. then out of nowhere i started getting this freezing problem that only happens when i exit certain problems and when i come back from the screensaver.
since then ive tried reformatting my harddrive, opening the case and swapping out the sticks of ram. i found that when i have the case open and a certain stick of ram in, that it freezes much less frequentley if at all, then the other stick with the cover off. which leaves me at the trouble of is it overheating or a bad stick of RAM
none of the components are overheating at all, and i dont know what to do from here. ive been trying to find out the problem for a week now, but i dont know. i get my new card tomorrow, the x1900xt from my current 6200le, so if its possibly a defective card it might get fixed hopefully?? while putting it in, ill remanage my wires and another format for the hell of it
any help at all would be greatly appreciated
EDIT: is windows like their office products and has a limit to the number of activations?
