Hi i am going to get a x1600 pro card and there are a few differnt makes one is connect 3d and the other is sapphire is there any differance in them or not.

well there could be difference in memory on it, the core and memory clock, u have to give us details on what cards u would liek. -

x1600 suks your going to get 20-40 fps on medium even the ones with 512 video memory suk i have one right now and it blows im not even playing bf2 with it because of horibble frameratesComment

Normally I'd say go ATI...but ni the case of mid or low level cards nVidia can't be beat.
Find yourself a nice 7600gt instead. Unless of course you are stuck with AGP...in which case I cannot offer any suggestions.

The guy who said even the 512mb version sucked...is because the 1600 has only a 128mbit memory controller, which effectively means you'll never even use half of that 512mb to its full use. Those cards(the 512's) are meant for home theatre and video editing.

Um, no, the brand entirely depends on what price point you're looking at. At $450, the ATI x1950xtx would be best... and I usually recomend an x800gto for the $120 price range for AGP, and again for the sub-$100 range in PCIe.Originally posted by FLIPINOMADComment

Sense you guys apparently don't know
In Battlefield 2:
ATI is better for 4X AA then Nvidia by a good bit (2 cards, same price = ATI > Nvidia)
But if you're not going to use it, which would make the game look worse then either is ok..
