so...i've been having some freezing problems with my computer lately, and i suspected that it was due to overheating. so for some reason i decided to take off the heatsink and look at the processor... so while i was taking it off the processor was stuck to the bottom of the heatsink (is that normal) so i look in the socket and nothing's there so i get confused. i look at the bottom of the heatsink and see the processor stuck to it
after applying force to get it unstuck, i look at the pins and see that about 10-15 pins are bent just slightly. this is when the trouble started. after spending 20 minutes bending them back i put the processor in the socket and then put the heatsink back on. i hook back all the wires and turn it on. nothing. try again, nothing, not even a beep. after thinking for a minute i realized i was putting the processor on with the socket already down so after opening the lever and putting it in right it all went together good.
i was so worried that i would have to buy another processor, because tomorrow im buying the x1900xt and that would have had to gone right out the door
