hi i was thinking of buying a new psu the manufacture is aspire anybody ever here of them? i like it becuase its all clear and lightsup blue but off mwave.com it is only $55 does any have any ideas?

What are the specs on this supply?
Dont go cheap on a PSU, a crappy PSU will bring down any system.

I have an Aspire case that came w/psu and it crapped out really soon. I love my case but upgraded to (will have to find the name) a new psu. It is one where you can plug in only the amount of wires you need to power your system. It makes it nice for routing also. It also cleared up some initial problems when powering up the computer.
I will let you know the name when I find the paperwork.

list your specs. and idc what you have DO NOT buy an aspire PSU. stick to the known winners. not the junk brands

well lets assume u have a high end gaming rig, I recommmend anything from 500W-600W but do not buy the cheap $20-$50 PSU, u are buying cheap PSU and will eventually die in a short time, u get what u pay for.

using that theory if he had a high end system he could buy an over priced crap thermaltake and be set. ...sigh price at wattage have nothing to do with a good PSU

I have the same rig actually, minus the videocard and PSU. Go with Antec, Thermaltake, or OCZ. Those 3 brands seem to ahve the best overall reviews of most other companies.

seeing as DavidHammock and JonnyGURU both agree that thermaltake PSU's are crap except that new one i would not reccomend them. http://www.jonnyguru.com/ . just trying to save someone from buying a bottom of the line PSU. the other brands you listed are all good tho.

anyway what are you looking to spend on a PSU Sniper?

I went with a 500w silverstone psu, paid approx 90 dollars for it. I would say go with a dual rail and SLI ready psu just in case you want to upgrade later.

yeah those silverstone 500W PSU's are very nice for the price
