That's not quad sli. As far as I know you can't sli two 7950's.

actually you can. im not sure he is running SLI in those benches but you can indeed run 2 7950's

Yeah I just saw Wreck linking to a crossfire/sli comparison and it used two 7950's. Well, in my defense, I have crazy insomnia lately and haven't slept since 35 hours ago and just this very second I remembered what it was that made me think of that; it's not that you can't run them in sli, it's that you cant watercool them. My computers watercooled and that's why I decided not to trade in my two 7900gt co superclocks for one 7950.

there are a couple water blocks for 7950's actually, and more to come. go take some sleeping pills 35 hours in insane. tho they use 1/4th tubeing so you would have to get an adpator (sucky) if you had 3/8 or 1/2 tubeing

Yeah I have been basically staying up for two days straight, then sleeping for 12 hours then staying up for two days straight etc. I just can't sleep. Restless. Bored. So I get up and get on my computer.

well they have some catching up to do, Intel is rumoured to have Quad Core out next year

Just for clarification, Kentsfield is supposed to come out by the end of the year. It is two Conroe cores strapped on top of each other, so there are four cores, but not nearly as optimized as a true quad-core processor.

And there will be a use for them, especially with multitasking or running multithreaded programs. And Crysis developers have said that it will take full advantage of AMD's 4x4 platform, so it is assumed that Crysis will take advantage of any quad-core setup
