    fraps

Everytime I run fraps my computer lags really badly. In thought Fraps was mean't to be the best recording tool.

I have 1g Ram, a really good graphics card and ddr. It's a good computer, not the best, but it far exceeds the BF2 requirements.

Is there anyway to stop this annoying lag?

I wouldn't call 1GB of ram far exceeding the requirements. Your computer is only half of the problem, the other half could be a less than optimal Internet connection.

you have to up the framerate of your recordings in Fraps. I currently run my between 50-65 depending on the game. I have found that with higher frame rates the game will run alot smoother.

            Re: fraps

Just having FRAPs as an FPS monitor should have almost no hit to performance (I don't notice any at all), but actually recording movies will significantly drop the fps, as it needs a lot more memory and processing power.

              you goats.

Its because he has a IDE harddrive. Im pretty sure this is the cause.

I used to have an IDE, an it sucked. Its old tech. you need a SATA.

Fast hard drive will help out the most.

                  Re: fraps

It's weird. I put FPS up to 60 and it works perfectly. There is only slight lag every so often but nothing more than I would expect.

Increasing the FPS is mean't to decrease performance. Oh well it works now.

Thankyou to the player who said that might help. I have created my first video today too.

                  cheers
