in spite of the new x1950xtx comming out in the very close future, aparently nvidia has come out with a counter:
making the 7900GS availbly publicly now: available on newegg here
and announcing the 7950GT
both cards look pretty strong, and i myself might get a 7900gs, because im in desperate need for a new card...
