I use a Saitek cyborg evo and it works great. while I strictly pilot using joystick, I have on occasion used mouse/keyboard and was pretty suprised how easy the helo's hover using that. Hovering is probably harder with a joystick in my opinion.

You use a k/b? weird im really bad with them! Can i ask this, how do you hover perfectly? I always see people hovering above flags and not shaking around and stuff, how do you do it?
      lots and lots of practice

*edit* well, actually hovering is pretty easy. but learning how to hover and avoid sh*t and line up gunner and bla bla bla bla bla.... take s a lot of practice

I use the SAITEK CYBORG EVO WIRELESS. I have found this J/S extremely good solid build and reliable it comes with usefull programme to macro the buttons, but I havent had to use it as you can predefine the keys inside BF2.

Saitek Cyborg Evo, cannot quote it wrong anywhere, it even has 3D twist and is very cheap coming with 11 programmable buttons.

As daliup says, you will need to get used to it. try SP using a 64player map mod thingy (get it from the d/l section on this site) but you'll need to uninstall it to play online though.

where is the download section exactly for that?

The saitex cyborg evo is a v good jstick but I have an army of broken ones from my days playing mechwarrior..
Ive had the thrustmaster topgun afterburner force feedback.. The best jstick ive ever used.. self calibrating.. force effects are completly manageable and its survived me slamming it on my desk when ever I get angry lol For 70 bucks you cant go wrong
