First of all G5 isnt better than copperhead, its all about ppl personal hand shape-how this mouse suits him. Well i have Razer Diamondback @ 1000Hz and 1600dpi and i noticed a better mouse movement , cursor goes where i want to and there are no random 360* flips.

I have always used a mouse designed for gaming, so I can't really answer your question about noticing a difference.
I have used the Copperhead and now use the Logitech G5.In Gaming performance , there is no noticable difference (for me). However, if you have used the pictured Logitech, switching to the Copperhead is going to take some getting use to, the way it fits in your hand is totally different.
Also you have to 'flash' the Copperhead with updates, which involves going through a whole procedure involving the mouse itself.
I bought it when it first came out (Copperhead) and it was buggy, I dont know if they have gotten things squared away , software wise, yet or not.

I started out with a trackball and when I wanted to upgrade I almost couldn't play bf2...everything felt un-natural and hard to do, I switched back to my trackball and all is fine. *shrug*

Having just made the purchase your about to make or have made and owning a similar logitech mouse previously I am in a position to help.

The mouse is of a completely different shape to the logitech, the logitech feels taller in the hand where the dome of the mouse rests against the palm. Where as the copperhead has a lower profile and wider buttons and your palm is more at the back of the mouse than on the top.

The copperheads main buttons are long which improves the struggle to hit the fire or scope button at the right time, but you shouldn't notice a huge difference from the logitech.

The left hand side buttons (of which there are two) are comfortable and quite easy to click on. The right hand buttons are quite hard to click on. Compared with the logitech they are a huge difference because the logitech doesn't have any on the right hand side. The right hand buttons also control the DPI up and down which is also a pain as they are out of reach when you need DPI up/down fast, however you can remap these with the razer software. The scroll wheel feels a little stiff and probably could do with a dab of WD40 (oil) but I ain't trashing my mouse trying to do it.

The flashing of the software is really easy to do, no problems visit the razerzone website and download the Ver. 6.17 drivers from the site, it also includes the firmware for the mouse. The mouse is upgradable for the future via the 32k inbuilt chip which stores the firmware. They have fixed the problems with it not working on certain surfaces, unlike the logitech.

It has improved my gameplay quite alot since getting it, however you have to stick with it because as soon as you get it you'll hate it and want to go back to the logitech -- trust me I know. Choppering is greatly increase by the ability to do really tight turns by turning the acceleration up. Sniping I usually use on a low DPI setting to avoid mouse movement again I have noticed an improvement as the mouse is lazer powered and very accurate.

When you first get it your wrists and fingers might ache from the low profile and wierd button positions -- but stick with it and you won't regret it.

Oh and the pulsating snakes and lights make it look cool too. Mines in green

TBH i would get the razer Diamondback as the copper head has sensitivitly buttons on the side to adjust and in bf2 the mouse goes REALLY sensitive on the kit screen and the TV missel of a chopper so u have to keep turning it down each time which is annoying and then putting it back when u get out of the chopper. also the Diamondback is cheaper and just as gd, the copperhead is a bit to sensitive with the more DPI

It's a good mouse, but try it out in a store first - if you're used to logitechs, shape will feel weird at first. Takes about 1 to 2 weeks to get used to it, but you'll get it eventually. Due to that, you'll suck in a game for awhile after getting new mouse.

I personally find razer better, I don't like asymmetry of logitech, and generally holding razer is easier with my alien-like fingers. But some people feel exactly other way around.

First, when/if you're getting the copperhead - patch it as soon as possible. Initial software is buggy and crap, patched, it works properly. Unpatched, don't even try to change dpi, it messes everything up.

Yes, right hand side buttons are pretty badly placed, but that's actually good spot to put the dpi switch buttons in, since you won't be pushing them accidentally. You can program macros and stuff into them as well, if you're into that. I've got buy scripts for CS in them.

I don't think it really matters which gaming mouse you use in BF2, as long as it's good enough. Really, pretty much everything from mx310 and up is the same. If you're into UT or quakes (and to some extent, CS), then you might actually need 2000 dpi and 1kHz polling rate, but BF, no way. I've heard that lack of dpi causes zoomed sniper to move like in grid, but I don't know how bad mice people who reported it had.

My laptop fails to boot up with copperhead attached - it runs fine if I attach it AFTER booting, but it just locks up right in the beginning if it's on. It's really strange, maybe it just sucks up too much juice in powerup with all the lights and jazz in it.

Last, get your mouse from a store, not mail order. Even if you save few euros using mailorder, you'll pay ****loads if something breaks. If you bought it from a local store, you'll have new one in few hours. Copperhead has 2 year warranty, and I've yet to own a mouse that didn't break before that.

What is your experience with gaming mouses? What did you guys noticed with them improve in accuracy?

It has great accuracy, handles superb but it takes a few hours to get used to its shape and the 2000 DPI, you'll know it first time you try it in Windows...

We have used the Copperhead for allmost half a year now, and it's superb, just takes a little time to get used to...
