    X800

Hey what would the gfx in BF2 look like with the maximum settings on an ATI X800 and maby like 766 GB of RAM? I am just curious because I am getting a new GFX card

Because I also want BF2142 to look all shiny and stuff

I think by shiny I mean dynamic lighting and also be able to run high texture and terrain settings and stuff

with your current setup you wont be able to run on HIGH settings..

you need 2G of ram to run on HIGH

1.5GB is suffice. (I think that's the right word to use?)

hey while we're on this subject...wats the diff between

        x800
        x800gto
        x800pro
        x800xt
cuz the price range from x800 to x800xt is quite large

this is a good article to read

theres alot of difference x800xt was ATI's fastest card just less than two years back it has more pipelines than the x800 and faster memory and core speeds

x800 pro is just an x800 but a bit more clockspeeds

x800gto is a cut down version of the x800xt

only one i would think of going for would be the gto

X800GTO2 is the card to get if you can find any. They only released so many.

Its basically got the same core as the X800XTPE, R480 core. Should have 16 pipelines out of the box, but not all did. Which means you had to open the extra pipelines, via a BIOS mod.

I got a sapphire GTO2 and BIOS modded it to an XTPE.
Added an Artic cooler and got it running stable at 570/590.
Default GTO2 speed is 400/490 & XTPE speed is 540/590.

So ive got a really good clock on mine. Think the card was about £140 :)
