Reccomend a headset

Can anyone recommend me a good 5.1 USB (so it has to be its own soundcard) headset?

Only other requirements are must be easily available in the UK (please state where!), and must be no more than £50.

i had a 5.1 headset and its not that great. it doesnt come with a mic and after wearing it for a while ur ears will become sore but the good thing about it that i like other than the other 2.0 headsets i have is that this one vibrates (for the subwoofer)

I'd recommend NOT getting USB headphones. They draw the 5v from the USB port and almost always have noise from crossover.

The MedUSA are very good but pricey. Again, I'd recommend a seperate powered USB hub. Drawing the 5v from the PC causes hum or noise in these.

The LTB are very good and much cheaper then the MedUSA. Again, get their seperate powered USB connector. These are the ones I have.

Turtle Beach has some. They seemed fairly good, and their price is between the LTB and MedUSA.

Tritton has some. These were my second choice behind the LTB's. I like the optical connection (I have x-fi sound card). These are VERY expensive, along the same lines as the MedUSA.

Zalman has these. I don't know much about them except that if you want a microphone you need to get THIS attachment.

I have the LTB's and absolutely love them. I was going to get the MedUSA but read some problems regarding them. Specifically lack of bass in certain directions because the surround bass signal was "rolled" cancelling it out. There is a very long posting on Tom's Harware Forums about it. That, and the price pointed me to the LTB's.

I payed $80 some for the LTB's and USB power cord directly from the LTB site. They were shipped 2 days after my order and I got them 4 days later. I had no problems hooking them up, and after correctly configuring my x-fi (make sure to turn CMSS OFF!) they sound awesome.

No USB headset. And I suggest a Sennheiser one for quality.

i use sennheiser too. against the logitech 'PC' (yeh right) headphones i had before i was amazed how good these RS130 sennheiser headphones are. yeh theyre meant for home hi fi but that dont matter. i use with an audigy too

I have the Zalman's. They are very comfortable and the directional sound is as good (to my ears) as a mid-end floor-standing surround system. They do not have a separate bass channel, so the claim that they are 5.1 is not technically accurate; they are strictly 5-channel. Even though they do not have a dedicated bass channel, the bass that the other speakers produce is decent enough and you won't blow your ears out.
