Cleaning a G5 mouse

Lately the Polytetrafluoroethylene gaming feet on my g5 have been getting built up with gunk i guess, so how do i go about cleaning this? I want to say i read somewhere that you can just wipe it with warm water on a towel, but i want to be sure before i do. Google searches yielded nothing.

i simply use a damp cloth to wipe the bottom. it became super smooth immediately though. i dont think there really is a special way of cleaning them...
