ATI Driver Cleaner help !

i want to clean my ati drivers, this is what it asks me to do.........

ATI:
1. Unplug nic card or modem from net or disconnect
2. Remove ATI driver from add/remove programs then remove the control panel from add/remove programs
3. Reboot into safe mode (F8 during boot up)
4. On reboot into safe mode WinXP SP1/SP2 will auto detect and install drivers. Just let it do its thing. If you can cancel out of the auto install hardware wizard then skip the rest and run Driver Cleaner! If you can NOT cancel out of auto detect wizard then...
5. Navigate to device manager->display adapter->uninstall and/or remove ATI display adapter but do not reboot
6. Disable any AntiVirus Software (If you don't disable is than it could give trouble)
7. Run Cab Cleaner (not needed, but recommended)
8. Run Driver Cleaner
9. Empty recycle bin and reboot
10. Install the new drivers and control panel

when i rebot my system and press F8 it comes up with.

Boot Menu

select a boot first device

1] Hard Disk

2] CDROM

there isnt a option for boot into safe mode !

can some 1 please help ?

Boot from hard drive then F8, my board does the same thing with F8 so I have to select hard drive then be quick on the F8 again to get into safe mode prompt.

disable your modem first
go to C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\UninstallAll <-what ever drive you use.
Now click the exe and let it do its thing . reboot and hold down F5 to get into safe mode . Once in safe mode use Ati cleaning program and then i usually use Crap cleaner to deleate the reg keys but you really dont need to Ati cleaner usually gets em all .

Now reboot and install your new driver and you should be good to go .Dont forget to turn your modem back on :laugh: . Some Crt/Lcd have drivers so you might want to check yours out . May not need them ,but for me ive allways had problems when i dont install my "Viewsonic" drivers . Like Crash to desktop every time i load Bf2 without them .

Ya thats the long way , F5 goes right into safemode , at least with all Asus boards and an epox board i had . Should be the same for everyone id asume ?

I did all what u said but my Windows Media Player wont work now ??????

I dont have alot of time to answer but maybe try reinstalling windows media ?
