New system, what FPS?

Ey.

I'm currently waiting for my CPU. I have my new mobo and gfx home atm:

New CPU: http://edbpriser.dk/Listprices.asp?ID=201186 AMD 64 x2 4400+

My ram sticks are Corsair TwinX 4x512 mb ddr pc4400 DUAL Channel.
(damn annoying to wait until monday, to get my new CPU from the postoffice:P)


What FPS can I get now in BF2?

Currently have:

Mobo: Abit IC7-MAX3 With OTES
Gfx: Hightech x850 256 mbram
CPU: P4 Northwood 2,4 ghz Socket 478

Spot on, anything above a 7600GT will make no difference on this game. I went from a 7800GT at 450mhz to a 7900GT at 650mhz and saw absolutely no improvement, even though in other games there is a ~50% improvement.

Ur right. I currently have a 7600GT and compared to a 7900GT of a friend which has the exact same system, apart from the 7900GT, and we noticed nothing, only way we found out a difference was too check out the FPS in command, and that didn't make a differende of more than 15 FPS.

Think the communitys should change their view on 7600GT.
Unlike thought the 7600GT somehow manages too do very good performances, and is at the bottom of High-end.

Because it can't be explained in numbers = it has lesser pipelines than 7900 and above, and go on, but still does mega-performance. Maybe someone with more knowledge can tell us where this can be explained thorugh.

I just hope my TVMissiles doesn't lag anymore, while pointing them to the emeny :P Specially on Wake Island. Tanks behinds trees etc.

Actually no, off cousre its better, but not like its way better, only 20 or so more FPS, thats all. And thast FPS that is only noticed by going into the FPS command line.

how do u check your fps in bf2 and if there any commands to help it?

Use the 'grave' key (see key to left of 1 key), type in:

renderer.drawfps 1 press enter

alternatively use something like Fraps, simple but good and the benchmarking is handy.
