A8NSLI Premium - 3 Sata HD slow access times

I have recently added a 3rd SATA HD (all non-raid) to the standard NV sata controllers on this mobo. This has caused my Raptor to report incredibly slow access / read times within HD Tach. I have the latest Nforce Drivers installed for this mobo.

Installed are:

1 x seagate 7200.10 250gb (system)
1 x seagate 7200 120gb (storage)
1 x Raptor 74gb (games)

Is this a common problem for this mobo, is there a specific order that drives need to be plugged into?

Im pretty sure that the mobo has 2 SATA controllers (NVRAID and Silicon Image SATA Controllers). One for SATA slots 1 & 2, one for slots 3 & 4. What slot do you have the raptor plugged into?

All the HD are plugged into the NV ones only and none in the RAID. I think the Raptor is sharing a channel with another HD, but i cant see why that would eefect performance so drastically
