I've got a 7600GT, 1gb RAM, and a P4 3.0ghz. Anyone out there with a 7600gt and what settings do you use?

Re: 7600GT settings
I have a 7800, but I would try maybe:
Anti Aliasing - 2x
Texture and Lighting - Medium
The rest on high
Distance 100%
If that lags you, take off Anti Aliasing and put everything on high. Lags again, make Texture and Lighting on medium and keep AA off.
If you don't lag, make those two high and leave AA on 2x. I'm pretty sure you can't handle 4x as I can barely have it on.

Sweet.
He may not be able to run smoothly on high settings becuase of having only 1Gb of ram. Deffenetly all medium, some on high. Another gig of ram would really help.

Re: 7600GT settings
i got a 7600GT XXX, i run all on high except for dynamic lights which are set to off. I tried either way and much prefered those settings off. AA is set to 2x. I do run 2gb ram tho

Re: 7600GT settings
All maxed out, but i have 2GB of RAM.
The card is easy able to do maxed out at 1280*1024 with good FPS even in Warlord. Its one mF of a card!
But to use such a powerfull card u should really get 2 GB, otherwise u won't be using all the power, only like 50%, cuz then u would get nailed by the RAM bottleneck.
2GB is needed for cards higher than 6600GTand 6800GS.

Re: 7600GT settings
in respect of my other post......i have since pulled some of my settings back. This was due to getting a better gameplay, i found that 5/10 TV guided missles were passing directly thru the targets (mainly the enemy choppers) also there were issues with having the AA set on 2x (see minor artifacting on certain programmes when i switch out of game). All round, even tho i can run that card maxed out and still get phat FPS i get a better game having the lower settings. no idea why, just do.

We just got one, haven't put it on full high, but we got on medium/high settings no less than 80 FPS.

Re: 7600GT settings
ive been so impressed with my 7600GT XXX, and even more so by the price i paid. after getting it set up right ive been seeing these kinda results via the Fraps benchmark system:
2006-08-26 18:47:14 - BF2
Frames: 5429 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 90.483 - Min: 79 - Max: 100
2006-08-26 18:50:28 - BF2
Frames: 5434 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 90.566 - Min: 68 - Max: 100
2006-08-26 20:12:15 - BF2
Frames: 5702 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 95.033 - Min: 73 - Max: 103
2006-08-26 20:15:09 - BF2
Frames: 5776 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 96.266 - Min: 53 - Max: 103
2006-08-26 20:18:30 - BF2
Frames: 5200 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 86.666 - Min: 69 - Max: 99
i used a 6600 before which certainley done the job but would struggle now and then and saw it more when i pushed geometry to high in game.

Re: 7600GT settings
If you have only 1 gig of ram I'd suggest using Medium setting b/c it won't lag as bad, even though your card will handle High settings graphically. Plus you'll be able to use AA without a big hit and the game looks SSSSSOOOOOOO much better with AA on.

Re: 7600GT settings
i just got a 7600gt and i can play on singleplayer with all high settings with a wee teenie bit of choppieness... nothing thats might impare gameplay. im guessing if i lower the dynamic lighting to med instead of high i can keep AA at 4x and not have to change anything else. right???

Re: 7600GT settings
do you really notice a difference between med and high? I only notice difference if I have AA turned off. I have dynamic lights set to high b/c I like the cool explosion effects and muzzle flashes and stuff. However, I turn the other lighting option to low so that snipers can't hide as well in the buildings.
I think it's a matter of personal preference, just fool around with the settings and find a comfortable medium.

Re: 7600GT settings
when i put my 7600GT XXX in i pumped it all to high. i found the dynamic lighting to be annoying and a total waste of time. i wanna kill people and i dont need the fancy bits to do that! and AA artifcated my desktop when i switched out of game to use BF2CC. also the wierdest thing after putting those settings up, TV missles were going straight thru choppers left right and centre. im good at TV missile so this pi**ed me off, i since adjusted the settings and TV missile is as good as ever. My video con as follows:
VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 2
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 3
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 2
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 0
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 0
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 2
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 2
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 2
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@72Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off
VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 1
VideoSettings.setVideoOptionScheme 3
Geometry on HIGH is a must for all TV missile users! and view distance at 100%!
this is the best the game has ever been for me. ive considered changing lighting to low for those (annoying i only get 10 points a round) snipers so i may try that soon. And going back to what i said, having high settings makes you load longer
what i would like to know tho.....has anyone else got better performance with the 91.33 beta drivers?
