My Joystick is confused. Or maybe I am.

Well, just bought myself a new joystick, the Saitek Cyborg Evo Wireless, everything appears to be functioning properly except my joystick confuses the left and right directions whilst flying. When I want to turn right, I turn left, etc.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is it meant to be like this? Replies would be appreciated.

Im sure there is a way to set it how you want. Go under settings/control panel/game controllers. Maybe you can change it in there.

i had the same problem, only solution for me was to have a friend copy his plane .con files and send them to me.

I had this problem at first but I found out that as I entered each control on my joystick I actually just clicked on each in game control since I thought it was axis controlled. For up/down be sure to click on which one you want to go up and then move on to rudder and so forth. Be sure you're clicking the direction you want to change and make the adjustment accordingly. I re-did mine and had no problem.
