What tests can i use to find faulty hardware?

In two games now, which i should be getting decent performance, i am getting no more than 20 fps, an unplayable framerate. I am now kind of convinced i am dealing with a faulty videocard, what are some programs i can use to confirm that something in my system is faulty? I got 2799 in 3dmark06 on a P4 3.0ghz, 1 gb DDR2, and a 7600gt.

ATITool for the video card, memtest for memory, prime95 for everything else. also SP2004 and CPU Burnin works well

No i'm not...not running anything other than the game and critical system processes. So far im getting mediocre gameplay in BF2 and the company of heroes beta. ATI tool will work even with my 7600?

ATI tray tools will not work with nvidia cards. I think that riva tuner does the same but am not sure as I am an ATI fanboy lol.

I would give the beta 93.33 a go.
