Re: Ram Problem
Does the system post (the little beep noise) at all, or do you just get a blank screen? Are you replacing your current kit, or are you adding on?
If you're replacing your current kit, try clearing your CMOS after installing the new stuff. I've had to do that frequently to get new RAM to work. -
Re: Ram Problem
it should be the right "Type" because if it fits into the motherboard, then its the right type (different ram has different thingys to plug into its own type of ram thingys in the motherboard) so its impossible tp plug in a rambus ram into a motherboard that takes some other kindComment

Re: Ram Problem
It could be very possible that the memory is just not compatible with your motherboard, but I cannot determine if that's the case because you still have yet to give us the motherboard model number. I would recommend you tell us the motherboard model number and the memory model number.Comment

Is it a single 1Gb stick or 2x512Mb sticks?
However many you have stick of ram you have. Test each one by one, plugging each individual stick into your mobo one at a time and try to boot. This will show if any are defective.Comment
. I guess we shoulda listened to the reviews
