    Cool looking mouse!

I've never seen that color. Do you ever wish you had a second button on the side?

Sometimes... I never use "forward" anyways... My internet connection is so fast - plus it's cached - So I just click on the link or enter the address again :P

            UberOptions - http://www.ida.net/users/oe1k/uberOptions/

Well I guess you've been informed what UberOptions is by now. It's provides the functionality that Setpoint should provide by default. The ability to assign functions to all the mouse buttons and make profiles application specific, so you can assign a profile to say "BF2.exe", "Firefox.exe" etc. For BF2 I have every weapon assigned to buttons, tilt wheel on my mouse. Using teh tilt left/right is excellent for a fast weapon switch between pistol and primary weapon.

I have never used Setpoint on it's own, before I was using Setpoint I was using Logigamer, another little app that allowed you to create application specific profiles but UberOptions is far superior. It's written by a guy called Richard owens, you'll see him highly active posting on the Logitech forums.

Of course if you want to extend the functionality of your mouse even further you could combine it with Autohotkey, I'm using an MX1000 mouse which is essentially 10 buttons, so each of my buttons is assigned to a weapon but depending on whether you depress 'Shift', 'Ctrl', 'Windows' etc as a modifier you can essentially double, triple etc the functions of your buttons. So that means you can have Parachute, Yes/No, Map, MiniMap Zoom, Scoreboard, SquadScreen, VOIP etc all easily accessible from your mouse. You'd need UberOptions/Setpoint to be able to take advantage of all buttons. If Setpoint isn't installed Windows will only recognise 5 buttons, left, right, middle and Xbutton1 and XButton2 (top and bottom thumb on MX1000).

Re: What type of mouse do you use?

I use MX310, I found it to be the best mouse, fits me like a glove

Tried MX500, 510, 518, they were good but a bit too bulky for me,

Thought of getting G series but, decided against it, when I saw Logitech didn't include the "forward" button.

I hoped they'd make G version of 310 but NO! they had to make a G version of MX300 ....... sigh...

I might get MX1000, tried it and it's very comfy, but I'm kinda hesitant, they are dissapearing from the market(at least black versions are), I think Logitech might be preparing something like G10 version of MX1000....... If they make it like G7(adaptor, small charger, 2 batteries) but retain all the buttons MX1000 has, I'll buy it in a heart bit! also I hope they add a storage inside a mouse for the small adaptor that they supply with their latest mice.
