Anyone with X-Fi Sound Card?

Hey guys,

I've been thinking of buying a new sound card to replace my old SB Audigy 2 that has been giving me problems making BF42 and BF2 crash (When I use onboard sound they don't crash).

Anyway I'm doubtful if I should buy or not the X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card because I've been reading over the Creative forums that it has popping and crackling issues in games like BF2, especially with nForce 4 mobos.

My system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI nForce 4 SLI
4x512Mb Kingston PC3200
2xNvidia GeForce 7800 GT
Windows XP Professional SP2

Ya go with the X-fi xtreme music works like a dream and goes great with a set of Logitech X-530's BF2 is awesome with it

I added the x-fi a few months ago and it made a huge difference. I can hear guys coming from all directions and the sound effects actually made me jump a few times untill i got used to them. Awsome.

I got mine from Creative for $80 when it was $160 in stores. I say its worth it!

I love my X-fi fatality FPS, no problems what so ever (I have an NF4 mobo) and im even using the drivers off the CD. Deffenetly the best soundcard I have ever heard.

i think my x-fi xtrememusic was totally worth the slight premium. after all, i can now put the sound setting at ultra high on x-fi. and it sounds so good, i can hear anyone and anything around me.

No doubt - X-Fi with good headphones you can hear them coming a mile away. Also the sound effects are outstanding.
