    Wierd x1600 PRO performance bug

so i just got an x1600 PRO 256 AGP vid card and i noticed while playing bf2 that the performance was no better than my Nvidia 6200 256 MB AGP CArd..i think it might have been overheating?it was at 93 degrees F. ....help please?

Actually thats a really good temp. If its fahrenheit like he said, otherwise 93 celcius is f***ed up. And yes. x1600 isnt that good of a card, but it is a step up from the 6200, but then again, you went from a 256mb to 256 mb, and the clock speeds dont show huge differences, so it might be better and you just cant tell.

 oh sh!t!! thats pretty hot. You might want to look into buying an after market cooler. I recomend the Zalman VF700Cu. My video card used to get up to 79C under load, but now, it maxes out at 52*C.

Copper as in heat pipes or water blocks?

vf900 is just a little more expensive, and has two heat pipes.

personally, i like the arctic cooling ati slencers. they exhaust the air out the back, rather than just diffusing the heat around the gpu. if you have good airflow, that's not such a huge problem, though. you've got to get the revision 2's though. alot of the first models exhibited an odd clicking sound.
