will i get better fps?

im going to get an ati x850xt P.E. AGP 256mb right now on my x16oo i get 30-50 fps my friend said i should get 90-100fps with 850xt any ideas. also please list the video settings i shud get for this card for EX:

res:1024x768@60 hz
tex:
etc:

amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
1.5gigs of ram
ati radeon x1600 pro 512mb pcie(going to get an agp mobo)

According to these readings from Toms Hardware the X850XTPE should be an improvement. Take a look at the FPS for different games:

I certainly dont get 90FPS with my X850XTPE but the rest of my computer is crap and I am running at a higher widescreen resolution. My FPS hangs around 30 when in the action, 70 when not.

why would you get a agp mobo? its a slower and outdated slot.

Texture: Medium (you need 2gig of ram to avoid stuttering)
FPS: decent enough to play the game smoothly

He is getting an AGP because he got an offer to grt x850xt pe + mobo+guarantee for 120$ can u beat that :p

For $90 he could get a NEW pci-e x850xt on newegg, and he wouldnt have to upgrade his mobo in 6 months when agp becomes even more outdated than it is now.
