my friend is hooking me up with a new mobo and a ati x850xt platinum edition 256mb agp for $120 is this a good deal to run bf2 at higher settings?

amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
1.5 gigs of ram
ati radeon x1600 pro 512mb pcie

You can play high with this card but are the specs in their ur's if so why should u upgrade can't the x1600 pro run bf2 on med~high? what mobo he is offering?

The x1600pro can probably on play medium at most... The x850xtpe should play on all high.

no man it is a crappy card it reminds me of my 6100 just on higher settings i play medium with it with horrible fps 30-50
he is giving me a pretty nice mobo the names gigabyte or something like that

oh yeah the clock peed is 580 and the memory is 1.2 ghz

For the price it is a really good deal mobo+video card= 120$, go for it but beware u might need a better PSU 450Watt recomended for this card.

the only reason why he is selling it to me cheap because he upgraded up to 2 7900gt's plus he is a really good friend lol i dont think he will give me one of those because they caust 350 a pop:laugh: :laugh:
