    How do i overclock !

    Ive got a x1600 xt ( as u can see ).
It came with a program called HIS iTurbo.
It lets you increase CORE CLOCK & MEMORY CLOCK & FAN SPEED ?

Here are the settings at the moment..................

    Core Clock = 587
    Memory Clock = 1376
    Fan Speed = 69

How do i overclock these settings ?
What should i change the Core Clock & Memory Clock to ?

    uninstall His software.

Install ATI tool v.024. You can set the gpu clock core and memory directly from the Ati tool GUI.

Be careful and don't get wild.

    Here's the download site...

Look up what clocks other people have gotten with your card before you start trying to OC. The 1600XT should be fairly easy to find marks on, since it's a good, cheap card.

Once you've got the aproximate max stable clocks that other people have, set those clocks as a cap in ATI Tool so that it can't go over them. Enable the temperature readout in ATI Tool so you can keep an eye on it while OCing. Then run the "find max core/RAM" clock options.

Edit: Forgot to mention what a normal card temp would be. For instance, my card (x850 pro unlocked and OCed to XT) runs at about 44c idle at 70% fan speed, 40c idle at 100% fan, and 60c to 70c at 100% fan, under full load. If your card starts going up to or over 90c even at 100% fan speed, I'd recommend that you stop pushing the clocks higher right then, and back the clock speeds off until you at least get into the low 80s.

I'm not sure what a normal temp for your card is, though. Never had one. 90c is generally pushing it for any card, though.

Be careful with that, the card can literally melt if you overclock too much.

How can an x1600 possibly run all high on the highest res?

I wouldnt even attempt to mess about with overclocking unless you really now what your doing ,otherwise you will screw your GC.

From what I gather, since my card is from HIS as well, your card should be factory overclocked since it's a "Turbo" version. You can overclock it further, but if you don't have the knowledge, you really shouldn't be doing it.

As megawhompertoo said above, ATITool is the way to go.
