Voip not working- HELP

Ive just bought a new mic as i thought that my old one was broken as it wasnt working for voip, but my new one isnt either. Now i know that my mics work cos they work on msn and stuff like that but when i go on voip setup and i read into the microphone it isnt showing up, Does anyone know how this can be resolved? Ive tried putting the mic into the back microphone slot in the pc as i thought it might be the front audio slot that isnt working, But it still doesnt pick up the sound on the voip setup

Anyone know how to sort this?

Sorry i can't be of any help mate, but the VERY same thing is happening to me, only I can't hear VOIP either.
Ventrilo works fine so I know my mic/headphones are working OK, but VOIP just won't work.
Anyone out there know whats wrong ???

I believe it has to do with your internet provider. I switched from Charter to Adelphia and the servers I couldn't get working on Charter worked on Adelphia. I've also gone through 2 headsets... Just a wonderful feature brought to you buy the guys at DICE.
