OK so im trying to burn some cds for my car and im aware that it only supports certain formats ie not mp3s. But when i make a cd with nero i select audio cd but it still doesnt play in my car stereo or my home stereo. any ideas??

So basically the files need to be in wav format?
I dont think any converting takes place in nero 7 which is perfetic.Comment

IF you select AUDIO CD in Nero and Drag&Drop MP3s in the List, the Files will be converted to Audio CD.
Maybe your Car/Home CD player cant read selfmade CDs. Some do..some not.Comment

Thats the problem i am selecting audio cd drag and dropping about 15 mp3s but it will not convert and there is no option to do so. Trying to burn them in WAV now see how it goes.Comment

omfg this is really annoying ive tried nero again but used wav files, still same problem and ive even used the windows media player but that also doesnt work.
The stereo sees that theres 14 tracks and also how long the cd is but it wont play.
Any ideas Anyone???

Im using normal CDR 80 min disks, could that be the reason why this is happening because some stereos will play it and others wont.
please help.....

Ive just put the 14 mp3s onto a usb drive and put it into a laptop and burned a cd through windows media player and it worked a treat. So this must mean theres something either wrong with my burner or windows is at fault. Anyone able to shine a light on this please reply im desperate. thanks guysComment
