hey everyone i was thinking about getting a ati raeon x850xt what settings could i run it at? what fps sould i get? right now i have a radeon x1600 pro 512 mb pcie and not getting the best frame rates?

amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
1.5gigs of ram
ati radeon x1600 pro 512 mb pcie(play on medium 50-60fps)

I play on 4x AA and full AF. Everything on high besides lighting, only because I don't like the lighting in BF2. My framerates usually stay steady between 40-70.

What do you know, I've got the same card. (Sort of... x850 pro OC'ed and unlocked to be an XT) I run all high, 4x AA, 1024x768. No problems with the FPS. I set effects and lighting to medium just to get a few more FPS though, since I really can't see much difference in those settings between medium and high.

I did have a weird problem with little squares showing up in my game (started popping up in WoW, too) but that may have been due to overclocking, and they went away in the Catalyst 6.7's.

You should be very happy with an x850XT.
