    hard drive temps

ok, so i got 2 maxtor drives, 80gb(Maxtor 6Y080P0) and 200gb (Maxtor 6Y200P0), and i also have a fan that pulls air from the front of the case, over the drives, and out the back of the case.

on high fan speed, my drive temperatures are in the low 30's, but on medium or low, my C: drive (the 80gb) gets about 37ish, and the slave usually stays in the low to mid 30's (probably because i dont actually use it much as the C:). of course, on high there is more noise.

so question is, what is a safe temperature for my drives? are having the higher 30's ok with my fan set on low, or should i just keep it going on high and bare the noise?

the fact that it is summer time, and my parents are pretty stingy when it comes to the AC, the house temp is always in the low to mid 80's......not sure if room temperature has much of an affect.
