    FPS not very different

I decided to try and get some more framerates (on all high with AA and AS on max I got about 30-80) 30 in battle about 60 just looking and 80 sometimes)

So I that resource hugger dynamic shadows on low, turned some stuff on medium. And I got literally the EXACT same FPS.

So I went and turned everything on low and off. I got 70-90FPS.

Doesnt seem right for medium to have the same as high.

    Specs:

    evGA 7800GT CO SE
    AMD64 3700+ Sandiego Core
    OCZ 2x1GB
    ASUS A8N-E

Was this in a server with a bunch of people in it? How many players were there?

Yes it will be the same fps, but when everything is one high, your computer wont be able to sustain that high frame rate when a firefight starts or other action comenses, as you would stay at a steady fps when everything is lower. You could try turning off the fps lock to see if itll go over 100, but idk the command off the top of my head.

I got the same crap. EA shat this game out and gave up on it. My old 7800GT could get 70-90fps at any time before the latest patches. Before I sold it, it would get 30-40.

Im thinking about doing what someone suggested which was reinstal BF2, install patch 1.22 or w/e it was called. Make the settings what I want them at then take that cache file install 1.3 and put the 1.22 cache where the 1.3 cache should be.

That seems like alot of troublt for a tiny problem. Ive never had to do that and ive been getting the same performance since i bought the game...

A tiny problem? Its what makes the game; playability. If its choppy then why even try to play it?

Yes, but there are so many other variables that could affect the performance of his system, and ive never heard of what he wants to do as an answer.

You said "Small problem", I told you why it wasn't.
