Am I the last man standing? Still stuck on a 5200

This is one pathetic video card for Bf2 (you'd expect it to be bad though)

I currently average around 15-20 FPS... on the lowest possible settings and resolution

Most people would say this is unplayable but I live (sort of)

    _____
    _________

The good news is I'll probobly be getting this system in the next week...
anyone have any comments, questions, suggestions?

looks good only suggestion is that you may want to invest a little more in a Powersupply for future upgrades, namley DX10. donno if you like the whole modular thing but the HIPER 580W PSU is like $80 on newegg. great PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817128002

Will those DX10 cards realy eat up that much energy:|:
      With a 19" I probobly won't need the very best one.. just a mid-range DX10

But if I need a better PSU I'll get one:)

well if its just midrange you could prolly get away with it. but im just the type that would rather have the power needed so i can drop whatever into the system hassle free. eatherway great build.

Im actually suprised at how much you thought this out. most first time builders havnt the slightest clue as to what they are doing. ahh how i love the $50 tin case that comes with the ubar 650W PSU that glows in the dark. but you actually sound like you know what your doing. maybe the world of first timers is getting better these days.

Hehe when I first got intersted in a new computer I knew nothing about them at all and was going to buy a Dell but was convinced to build a computer.

Took me 2-3 months but I learned most of the basics and was able to come up with this

You're not alone StevenNevets. I have a 5200 as well. It makes us better players to have to overcome our computer's handicaps. Good luck with your build.

He turned everything to high in video settings, but notice how he's getting 15 or less fps. The BF2 in-game fps monitor actually won't show anything lower than 15 even if it's actually at 1 fps.

And the computer looks good to me Steven :)

                        I bet it's not even 1 fps, it's more like -20

ding, ding, ding, we have a winner:laugh:

I stuck everything on high just because I have never seen good graphics first-hand... it may have taken 15 minutes to get in game and I averaged maybe .5 f/s but it was still fun
