    Crazy crashing prob :\

OK.. my friend has a Dell E510 (first mistake) and since then he has been gettin all kinds of errors.

Right now he has 2 major problems.
    1) I know for a fact that his memory (2GB DDR2 553) has gone bad except for one stick i think.
    2) He is constantly getting the BSOD (blue screen of death ) and i think it is because of his video card overheating massively. (ATI x600 which only has a HS). I think this is because the computer has only one fan which blows out the front for the cpu.

I know he needs memory replacements but what should he do about it?

    just get a new pc?

pretty much $1500 down the drain :hmm:

its only a desktop so not much to worry about, as you can replace bits that are broke :p (not like old dells that needed dell parts)

if you can find out what the actual error is thats appearing during the BSoD,

It used to say something about his video card drivers but now it doesnt say anything for some reason?

And since he has a dell he needs a different kind of power supply doesnt he?

Is it still under warranty? If it is, use it and get in contact with Dell.

if its overheating open the side door and make sure its cool in your room , thats wat i did and it dropped by like 20c , but that might void the warranty
