I don't know about these two brands. So I can not give you good advise on the two you listed.

I can tell you, buy the best monitor you can afford, because it does make a difference. I bought a Dell Ultra Sharp 20.1" LCD and it is awesome. The wide screen format makes a huge difference in BF2 with allowing more peripheral vision on the battlefield. (But my monitor was $600.00)

Your buget is $200 so if you want a wide screen format, look at models like this:

Also check out reviews on these monitors from like Pricegrabber.com, and see what other users think of the products. I never buy anything without checking the reviews!!!!

    Good Luck Shopping!

i have been lookin at an Acer 19" Black Non-Widescreen 2ms for a while , i think its 225 but i heard its well worth it , sepcially for gaming being 2ms. I was also looking at widescreen , but im not sure.

I really suggest the second choice you listed, the Acer, 8msis fine for gaming, its a really good make and 19" for 200 bucks isn't to bad at all. If your coming of a CRT screen, it'll be like night and day.

Re: Need help seaching for moniter

I'm a little more budget conscious, so I bought this 19" LCD for $119 (after rebate):

              http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=6732798

It replaced a 21" Sony Trinitron Flat-Screen CRT (power consumption and heat--166W normal usage--were getting to be more than annoying), and I'm satisfied with it. Haven't gotten the $100 rebate back yet, but they "let" you pay their third-party rebate company $9.00 and that company is supposed to send your rebate check (minus the $9.00) within 3-5 business days, as opposed to 8-10 weeks.

                Right now im deciding between:

                1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824112002

                2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009083

which is better? and im still wondering if i should get widecreen and if its good for gaming?

This is a $240 monitor that costs, well a lot less then that if you do the Tiger rebate, it's similar to the one you picked out too

                  Monitor: Acer AL1906AB / 19" / 8ms / 500:1 / SXGA 1280 x 1024 / Black / LCD Monitor

                  http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1962523&CatId=170
                  ($159.99 after $60.00 Mail-In Rebate)

                        I have this http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/ViewS...oductDetail.do

There used to be a rebate down to 180 but not anymore. Still a good price though
