I am sure this is an old topic. I know that the wrong video card will not allow the game to start and all, and I have been playing just great with a Radeon 9800. However, I am going to be getting a new computer and would like to know what new cards work or just what specs a card has to have. All the searches I do on the web just give me the same old list of supported cards that is over a year old. We all know there has been many new ones since then. A couple new ones that I have seen are the Geforce 7900 and the Radeon X1900. Does anyone have any info on this topic? Thanks.

Re: What New Video Cards work?
Well since you have an agp slot, your selection is very limited, as the newest most powerfull cards are pci express. You can try things like the agp 7800gt or the agp 7600gs, both of those will be able to play bf2 on all high.

I guess I should mention I am upgrading the computer, so it will most likly have a PCIe slot.

IMO its really not smart to upgrade to something more than a 7900gt right now, because the DX10 cards are right arounds the corner, and your money is better off being spent on them.

Re: What New Video Cards work?
Any new card after that list was made, is supported. Except for those Intel Extreme Graphics and other built-in-motherboard cards.
