    Jagged Shadows

Hello everyone. Now i've searched the forums for this subject and have came across a few posts but none of them have a fix. I was just wondering if there is actually a fix to having those damn shadows with pixelated edges.

    Screenshot:

Just incase you want to know I have all my settings on High. The only thing I have off is AA in which I have on at 8xS on the nVidia control panel.

Sorry if i've missed the post with a fix, I couldn't find one with the keywords I used on the search.

I've tried different res's but it doesn't make a difference, that current screenshot I took at 1024x768 but I usually have it at 1204x1024.

    I hope there's a fix, thanks

mmmm...ATI cards have best Anti Aliasing, and Anti Aliasing is what deals with jaggged shadows.

Ive seen ati cards with shadows like that...

Did you try turning on transparency AA to supersampling? I dont know if that would help any. But yeah, my shadows look like that too.

Unfortunately this is just the way BF2 is, my graphics card (see sig) is maxed out 1280x1024 4XAA and I cant get rid of jaggy shadows.

Ah well, quite a shame really it would look so much better if the shadows weren't jagged. I wonder why they are though, can other people get them so they are smooth or is this with everysingle BF2 player?

even with 4xAA/16xAF and everything on high you still get the jaggies in this game..

the little jaggies sure make it look like a little monster with claws etc etc....

i dont see why people complain about shadows and stuff... i mean just play the game... if u want good graphics, go outside..

im not trying to start an argument, im just saying that i really dont notcie them...

                      Update Your drivers.

The reason that some ATI cards have jagged shadows is because they have shader model 2.0 , The X850Series and below.

So you're saying the ATI x1xx series(that has sm3.0) does NOT have shadows like this too? ********!

It's not a driver problem, it's not a card problem, IT'S THE GAME!!! Sometimes they will be smooth, sometimes they will be jagged, any card, any brand.
