    Does this card need a vacant PCI-E x16 slot?

    the card is a EVGA GeForce 7900GT 256MB DDR3, will it be ok without a vacant slot?


    Furthermore, which are the high-end cards that doesnt require an extra slot?

      yup unless if it says gs at the end it is agp that is pci 16x 100% sure

          nono, its a GT and i wonder if it, due to its size, will have to have an extra slot next to it so it will fit? atm I only have 1 pciex16 slot and some agp next to it.

          Anyone knows if it takes up(requires) 2 slots due to its size?
