The 7600GT is a very good card. You could probably play on high with a good resolution.

I reccomend EVGA due to lifetime warranty, you can overclock without voiding your warranty and also add an aftermarket cooler and still be covered.

        With 2GB of ram I can run BF2 with 4xaa 8xAF
        terrain Medium
        texture High
        lighting High
        shadows med
        dynamic light med

I forget the other settings and run at 1024x768 (stuck on a crappy CRT for now) However after the 1.3 patch performance is lackluster at best due to my reduced settings.

My cards are CPU bottlenecked running the 3dmark apps proves it. Even overclocked.

Really? What do you get in 3DMark? You should still be able to get quite a bit of performance out of those before the bottleneck comes in. Like, a 3.2Ghz P4 should handle a single 7600GT fine, and one 7600GT is good enough for maxing out BF2, so you should be getting much more.

My CPU scores are under 1000 for 06 and around 3500 on 05...

                  There's something wrong there. I get 3800 on '05 with a 6600GT.

Drivers? You should look into this, or you're letting your money go to waste.

that card can handle max setting bf2 easy!

as long as your cpu, PSU, ram...etc. is alright.

Yea I suspect it has something to do with the Intel Edition Nforce 4 SLI.

Does not really bother me as soon as the new Nforce5 boards are out thats what I will be getting.
