    Dvd Drive Broken, Help.

Hey guys, just registered, well Ive been playing the BF2 DvD editiion for about 2 months now, but this week my crappy 2 year old HP's dvd drive jsut broke, I dont know what to do to be able to play, people were talking about some image thing, but can someone give me a step by step guide how to do it? I am about to pull my hair out.

PS: I have all the CD Key etc information, the game is legally mine and was installed off the DVD.

    Thanks in advance.

Using a No-DVD utility will be considered a hack or a cheat and most ceratinly a violation of the EULA, since you are not allowed to modify, add or remove any part of the game. I'm guessing that PB will ahve your butt in a wringer if you try.

Get a new DVD drive - they are as cheap as buying a new CD-version of BF2 and you won't lose precious stats...

        Cheers :-)

I've been using the same BF2 Image since 1.01 and haven't been kicked yet. So there must not be anything wrong with it.

NO way this will happen. If you own the original BF2 u can do whatever u like. i have my DVD used 5-6 times from last July. Only after formating my PC. So when EA really plan on block my account? When noone plays BF2 anymore???:p

USe whatever image you want mate but keep in mind that u have to legaly own your copy of the game. U need a valid CD key to play multi after all. But u may find a new DVD-ROM very usefull for other PC jobs.

Yes using a crack may get you in trouble with punk buster, but using a mini-image mounted in deamon tools is ok.

Moved to Tech Center..this really isn't a BF2 specific problem.
