So my gfx card fried =/

Been needing to get a new one for quite awhile anyway.

Was using a Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB, ran the game fine imo.

Just need some feedback on what card would be good to use, searched alot of forums and sites and everyone says something different. Budget is at a max of £180.

Not to bothered about make, have been a fan of ATI for awhile yet the last 2 cards have fried so thinking NvDia could be worth a shot.

Comp specs;

OS: Windows xp Professional.
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz
RAM: 1Gb

Any X800, 6800, 7800 or 7900 series card would be fine and much better than your existing card. Why not go to Toms Hardware website and read their graphics card roundups?

after my 9800 pro died i got a 7800GS agp
and if u have want an AGP card

if u want a Top end card u will need to get a new motherboard that has PCI-E then the worlds ur oyster

Get the 7800GS instead. It has 16 pipelines instead of 12 like the X850Pro.

Considered used? This x850xt has 16 pipelines...problem is that you're paying 50% more because the card is AGP.
