im thinking of selling my system and building a brand new one, but the details are still fuzzy. What i want to ask is whats better: two crossfire 1600 XT's, or one 1900 XT. Just so i know, whats the fastest card out right now for ATI and nVidia. I havent been exactly up to date on computer hardware lately. Also how much RAM would i need to support two X1600's

The 1900XT is most definitely better. The best ATI card is 1900XTx and the best (single card no 7950s...)for Nvidia is 7900GTX 512mb. -

SLI and Crossfire come in use only if your monitor supports very high resolutions, like 1600x1200 and up. But 2x1600XT s never preforms near as good as 1x 1900XT or XTX. ANd supporting 2cards has nothing to do with how much you have ram.Comment

Go with the X1900xt is is far better than two x1600xt's in Crossfire. Many review sites state that ATI's crossfire on the midrange segment is just not worth it. You would be happy with a 1900 :)Comment
