Oh No Now my BF2 wont start :0

I just started playing this game on my new computer, I upped the graphics a little bit from defualt to aliasing x2(i think that is how u spell it) and put the resolution up to 1024X768(i think) but that is all I did. I guess im just a noob with computers. I wanted to ask here before i messed around, being this a new computer and all. Btw my card is a 7900gs.

Well the smart thing would be to revert your settings but something tells me the AAx2 is what did it.

How would I do that. I forgot to say that when I start the game it gets to the small loading screen then just disappears.

Uninstall/reinstall? Although, I'd hate to do that. Ever since 1.3 I'm afraid to reinstall, as it usually ****s it up to the point where I need a new H/D to install it on - even a reformat doesn't help.

I have no idea why anti aliasing would cause this, and is most likely not the problem, and there is no need to do a reinstall just yet.

The problem might be that you set the refresh rate too high when you changed the resolution. Anywho, if it is a problem with some setting you changed, find C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001\Video.con. If you have more than one profile on your computer, you might have to find the Video.con files under C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0002\Video.con, C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0003\Video.con, etc. Open the Video.con file wuth notepad and change VideoSettings.setResolution to 1024x768@60Hz. Or you can just delete the file, and Battlefield 2 will automatically make the new, default one in its place when you start it up again.

But what loading screen are you talking about? The one before the intro movies start?

edit: And I hope I don't get banned for this, but quite a few of the people who really understand hardware and software problems have moved over to the fever gaming site, fevergaming.com, so it might be good to post there as well if my solution doesn't work.
