Woodcrest is based on the exact same core as the Conroe/Allendale processors. It is simply geared towards the server market. If Intel can release the server processors, they can also release their desktop counterparts, lol.

Like I said, a BS belief that they won't come out. Just sad.

Yes, the Woodcrest that came out. That's all that matters. We've already established the superior performance of the Conroe from the reviews released on the 14th. All it needs is to come out, and the Woodcrest guarantees it.

Any issue is still an issue, whether it can't run Raid 5, or add 2+2. The simple fact that an issue is there is enough cause for concern. Maybe it's a simple Raid 5 issue now, but it could turn into other bigger problems down the road.
