    Re: Updated AMD Prices

Fair enough. But can you prove to me that they won't come out? I'd just like to see this crystal ball that you seem to have.

I have nothing but your word that they won't come out. :/

Its like saying that GeForce 8, or ATI's R600 won't come out. Same basic concept.

I am not arguing whether they will come out or not.

My argument is that you "say" that they are out. When in all reality, they are not. I can not buy one off of the many hardware websites. Yes, the "review samples" are out, but what does that mean? Nothing, which is the point Thunderpimp is trying to make. Reviews don't mean anything until they are of the mass production variety, not of the "review samples"

Fine, you want to wait until the 7th and then "make fun of us"? Go right ahead. I will be laughing when you get banned for flaming.

Jeez, calm down. Yea, I know they aren't officially out. But the review samples are the exact same things that you will be able to buy at newegg on the 7th. Sellers are simply building up stock right now.

I have no beef with anyone claiming that they aren't out. Thats logical, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion to that extent. Its only when people say that they AREN'T coming out (like ThunderPimp, he's not simply saying that they aren't out YET), that gets me riled up.

Conroe will suffer the same fate as the 3.33Ghz, and 3.6Ghz 533mhz Northwood Pentiums. Everyone must get the word out and not be fooled again by the evil empire.

Ah, but what happened to the release date of the 24th? Oh wait it was pushed back. Prove to me that the release date won't be pushed back again?

I know several tech sites that have said it was to help "build up stock", but with only roughly 20% of the Intel plants pushing out C2D, that's not alot. I say the release date gets pushed back again, and again.

Yes yes, such a professional response there.

I never even heard of the 3.33Ghz and 3.6Ghz Northwood Pentiums.

Conroe on the other hand, I can't STOP hearing about them.

Read the article I posted in the other thread.

You said Conroe would be released on the 14th so where is it?

We know that conroe is good, but all this crap about how it's destroying amd is simply false. The fact is, when you look at a standard gaming system, at normal res, the graphics card is still the bottleneck, and someone switching from amd to intel with a single card system will most likely not notice any gaming performance boost.Conroe is good, and my next system will be one, but the fanboyishness needs to stop. Now.

Only because you keep attempting to hype them up. I saw several reputable websites that have 3.33 and 3.6 Northwoods.

Intel has MUCH superior manufacturing capabilities compared to AMD, with 7 or 8 fabs compared to AMD's 2 (one more being built, and one being shut down due to age). 20% of Intel's output just happens to be 100% of ALL of AMD's output. Unless you're implying that there aren't enough Athlon 64 processors out there, Intel should be fine.

True, Intel has to supply prebuilders like Dell, but they're offering the same prices for the processors to everyone. Meaning Newegg can buy just as many as Dell.

The NDA was lifted on the 14th. Not the processor release.

And thats what you get for trusting Tom's Hardware Guide. Never trust THG.

Read my post again. I just said that they were building a new one. But it isn't built yet, is it? So 20% of Intel's production is still 100% of AMD's production. And are there any shortages of A64s right now? None that I see.

I never said I didn't say that. Infact, I said that a lot. But no one else could've done any better. Did you click on that link? Its an article stating that they're coming out on the 14th. Not my fault a website that's read by millions every day lied to me.

And I stated many times after that post that it was only the NDA that was being lifted. Although I'm not so sure I did that on this forum. :|:
