N vidia 7900GTX , screenies ??????????

Guys can anyone with the above card please post a BF2 screenie . £300 is a lot of my hard earned to shell out if im not gonna get much more performance than my 2 6800le in SLI .

Unless you plan on running at a very high resolution, you won't see any difference in image quality. Both settups are capable of running all settings on high, end of story.

Yes, of course it would. They are comparable cards. It's not like I obtain some magical new settings by owning a 7900GTX.

I leave all of my nvidia control panel settings at their defaults and simply maxxed all graphics settings via the graphics settings screen.

All pics of a videocard 6800GT and above will look the same. Like Talus said, its not like you obtain magical settings with different videocards. Its the in-game settings that matter.

You should've asked for pics of max settings, that would've allowed a lot more people to post their pics. You can easily max out BF2 with a 7600GT, even a 6800GT/GS is enough.

1. rigg as follows
AMS Dual FX 4200+
Asus KN8 SLI MOBO
2GB MUSHKIN DDR400 2300 RAM
2 * 6800 LE IN SLI RUNNIG STOCK

2. All my settings are on high and i have 4* AA enabled as well 1280*1024@75hz screen resolution .

3. I have run renderer.drawfps 1 and it shows my curent fps as 37.0/27.2 (whatever that mean)?Running on a full 64 player Kark server .

Am i really missing out that much if i upgrade my GPU ?

I propose it to you like this:

If you have too much money and don't know what to do with it, knock yourself and go for the upgrade. If you don't, I wouldnt bother, you're not going to see enough to warrant it.

37FPS is rather low, shouldn't he be getting better. maybe u need to update ur sound, gfx card & motherboard drivers. At a resolution of 1280x1024 u dont really need AA to be on as u cant tell jmuch of a diference at that resolution or higher. turn iff & i assure u ur framerate will improve alot.

I would agree. I can't see there being any DX9 games being made that would overtax your current system. Then again, I also can't see any decent DX10 games being released anytime soon either (at least a year). Save your pennies. Or buy a Nintendo Wii :P
