PCIe Upgrading

Hey you guys, what is the cheapest way that a guy using a AGP system can upgrade to PCIe? I've heard, and read alot about this, and think that I should upgrade. I've heard that you can keep several important things, if your PC is advanced enough. Here is my system:

Athlon 64 3200+
1 Gigabyte Corsair Value Select Ram PC3200
Radeon X800 256MB AGP card X4/X8
Asus Deluxe AGP port (AMD chipset)

Now...can I carry over the processor? And if I can't...why？The ram should be able to be carried over also. I have an Audigy 6.1 soundcard, and plan to buy a new GPU anways, so, the question is, can I upgrade to PCIe cheaply? I should only need a new mobo and Graphics card, which I plan to buy anyways. AMD 64 is a "new" brand, and should fit socket 939 mobos. My ram should fit as well. Thanks for imput!

All you need to buy is a new pci-e 939 motherboard and a new pci-e graphics card. However people may tell you otherwise because 939 boards wont take the best cpus, i.e conroe.
