Ok I dont know why but it seems like my computer is running slower then it really shuld be.

Is there any way that i can set the FSB of my motherboard? becuse it feels like its running at 200 when it shuld me at 1000. Also in my 3dMark 06 settings, it says my FSB is at 200. Any clues? Specs are also in my sig.

Your FSB should be 200 with that CPU. Is that a 4800+ or 4600+?

But, yeah, your score does look a little low for your system.

ya mine does the same thing, accept mine should be 800, i have a Pentium 4 631 3.0Ghz

in case you didnt already know, amd doesnt really use a FSB. its memory controller is integrated on the cpu, removing the need for a FSB. unless you are referring to the hypertransport.

Errrr.... That's technically correct BUT your FSB is proportional your HTT. In this case the CPU is running at 1/5 of his HTT frequency AND on his board you overclock your HTT by raising the core FSB.

In his case it's transparent and I didn't feel it made sense to get into the technical details since they didn't really change the answer.

Well you may have made the same mistake i did, you made have been looking at the FSB, but the Bus Speed itself its probably what you really want to look at

wobbles, yours is an intel processor. it uses a FSB. the processor speed is FSB*Multiplier. bus speed is 4 * FSB. 4, becos of dual core and hyper threading. 2+2=4.
for amd processors, the FSB is not needed as the memory controller is on the cpu (integrated memory controller). it communicates with the ram directly through the hypertransport link. whereas the intel processor communicates through the FSB to the external memory controller to the ram.
