1.3 BF2 patch causing major problems.

    Hello everyone.

I have recently installed the 1.3 patch for battlefield 2. And i am having some major errors.

After installing it, everything was fine with the computer itself. I have always had the crashing to desktop error. But that is not wat i am requiring your help over.

Today when i went to turn on the computer. It crashed when loading windows, to a blue screen that flashes for about 1- 1.5 seconds. i took a photo of it with my camera, and it said that there were errors with the drivers, it did not mention which drivers

Ne way, it automaticly restarts my laptop and then comes to the Safe mode option screen. With 5 options.

    -Start windows normally.
    -Last know Config that worked.
    -safe mode
    -safe mode with networking
    -safe mode with command prompt

The top 2 have the same effect, and that is the blue screen appearing under the same circumstances. Networking also does the same.

3 and 5 go into safe mode, but one with a command propmt (obvisously.)

When i got into safe mode, i did a system restore, back past before i installed the 1.3 BF2 patch. But even after that, i still have the same result.

i need someones help real bad. Plz help.

    Thanks for your time, Dyl8

Since it said it was driver errors I don't think it was the patch. Unless the patch wasn't from an offical site, where did you download it from?

Have you tried running spyware or a virus scan?

I don't think the 1.3 patch would have done that much to your PC. AFAIK it only touches the BF2 files and none other, all of which have no effect on the start up process.

Are you sure you've not installed any other drivers eg sound card, gfx card etc? Can you post up what the BSOD says please.
